The Quality Care Investigations Department of the North Mississippi Regional Center follows and enforces the guidelines set forth under the Mississippi Vulnerable Persons Act. This Act was created by the Mississippi Legislature in 1986 to deter abuse to vulnerable individuals. Because of the ongoing concern for potential physical, emotional, and financial abuse of vulnerable adults, Quality Care Investigations makes inquiries into any allegations of abuse, neglect, or exploitation brought forth by employees, guardians, or individuals receiving services from the NMRC. Additionally, Quality Care Investigations assists as directed in any other workplace investigations.
