The North Mississippi Regional Center (NMRC) is an intermediate care facility for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ICF/IID) operated by the Mississippi Department of Mental Health. The department’s regional ICF/IID programs serve designated counties or service areas. NMRC provides ICF/IID services through its main campus in Oxford, Mississippi, through 21 licensed ICF/IID community homes, and through additional community-based services and supports. These services are located throughout the northern 32 counties of Mississippi.

The northern 32 counties include: Alcorn, Benton, Bolivar, Calhoun, Carroll, Chickasaw, Clay, Coahoma, DeSoto, Grenada, Itawamba, Lafayette, Lee, Leflore, Lowndes, Marshall, Monroe, Montgomery, Oktibbeha, Panola, Pontotoc, Prentiss, Quitman, Sunflower, Tallahatchie, Tate, Tippah, Tishomingo, Tunica, Union, Webster, and Yalobusha.

  • NMRC provides licensed ICF and short-term residential services at its main campus in Oxford, Mississippi.
  • NMRC operates 21 licensed ICF/IID community homes in the following cities:
    Batesville (2 community homes), Booneville (2 community homes), Bruce (2 community homes), Columbus (1 community home), Corinth (2 community homes), Fulton (2 community homes), Kilmichael (2 community homes), Nettleton (2 community homes), Oxford (1 community home), Pontotoc (2 community homes), and Senatobia (3 community homes).
  • NMRC operates six Community Enrichment Programs in the following cities:
    Batesville, Booneville, Hernando, Kilmichael, Oxford, and Tupelo.
  • NMRC provides Support Coordination and IDD Waiver services in the following counties: Alcorn, Benton, Calhoun, Chickasaw, Coahoma, DeSoto, Grenada, Itawamba, Lafayette, Lee, Lowndes, Marshall, Monroe, Panola, Pontotoc, Prentiss, Quitman, Tallahatchie, Tate, Tippah, Tishomingo, Tunica, Union, and Yalobusha.  
  • NMRC provides Targeted Case Management services in the following counties: Alcorn, Benton, Bolivar, Calhoun, Chickasaw, Coahoma, DeSoto, Grenada, Itawamba, Lafayette, Lee, Marshall, Monroe, Panola, Pontotoc, Prentiss, Quitman, Tallahatchie, Tate, Tippah, Tishomingo, Union, and Yalobusha.
