The mission of the North Mississippi Regional Center Security Office is to provide visible security presence on campus and provide safety for all individuals residing on the main campus, visitors, and employees. The office is under the Risk Management department and is made up of a Security Chief, fourteen Security Officers and a Switchboard Operator. The officers operate on a shift schedule so the facility will have coverage twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. All Security Officers are required to attend general orientation and monthly training sessions by the Staff Development Department. These training sessions are necessary to keep each Security Officer up to date on new policies, methods, and techniques.
